A 2027 External Communications Pack with promotions and graphics will be made available soon.

We know from a decade of research that most students would like to see sustainable development actively incorporated throughout their education.

The SDGs are not an exhaustive list, so we strongly welcome educators to supplement the SDGs by embedding other worldviews, frameworks, and topics overlooked by the SDGs. The Teach In is therefore an ideal springboard for those getting started with or seeking to go further with embedding sustainability into education.

Who can pledge to take part in the Teach In?

All educators, teachers, trainers, coaches and workplace facilitators in either early years, primary, secondary, tertiary, further, higher, adult and community-based education or similar around the world can take part.

What are the aims of the SDG Teach In?

Empower: Ensure students and staff are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and attributes to be the change they want to see in the world.

Critically engage: Showcase case studies and good practice of educator’s engagement with the SDGs and/or beyond including social-environmental justice and other frameworks related to sustainability.

Catalyse curriculum transformation: by encouraging and supporting educators to innovate methods in Education for Sustainable Development.

How is the campaign structured?

Each week in March will focus on a key theme, starting with environmental sustainability, then social, and economic pillars of sustainability, and care, collaboration, and creativity in the final week. These themes are a guide, and educators are welcome to blur the boundaries between the pillars throughout the campaign.
