About

The SDG Teach In is an annual campaign which calls upon educators worldwide to embed the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their teaching, training, and learning.  The SDG Teach In 2026 will last from 1st March to 31st March 2026.

All educators around the world can start signing-up to take part in the Teach In from now until the end of 31 March 2026.

We know from a decade of research that most students would like to see sustainable development actively incorporated throughout their education.

The SDGs are not an exhaustive list, so we strongly welcome educators to supplement the SDGs by embedding other worldviews, frameworks, and topics overlooked by the SDGs. The Teach In is therefore an ideal springboard for those getting started with or seeking to go further with embedding sustainability into education.

Register for the SDG Teach In 2026 Introduction webinar on 28 January 12:00 to 13:00 UK time. See the impact of this global campaign so far, examples of how people took part, support available, and guidance for getting involved as a student or staff member! There will also be time to ask any questions.

Who can pledge to take part in the Teach In?

The Teach In is open to all types of formal and informal education settings and workplace learning providers around the world.

What are the aims of the SDG Teach In?

Empower: Ensure students and staff are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and attributes to be the change they want to see in the world.

Critically engage: Showcase case studies and good practice of educator’s engagement with the SDGs and/or beyond including social-environmental justice and other frameworks related to sustainability.

Catalyse curriculum transformation: by encouraging and supporting educators to innovate methods in Education for Sustainable Development.

How is the campaign structured?

Each week in March 2026 will focus on a key theme, starting with environmental sustainability, then social, and economic pillars of sustainability, and care, collaboration, and creativity in the final week. These themes are a guide, and educators are welcome to blur the boundaries between the pillars throughout the campaign.
