We held an event to catalyse innovation in sustainability
Last month, we held our annual Sustainability Programmes Roundtable, bringing together those delivering NUS sustainability programmes to network and share good practice.
The theme of this year's Roundtable was 'Innovation'. Together, we celebrated ten years of catalysing action on sustainability across our campuses, communities and curricula, and looked forward to how we can continue to develop creative ways to deliver sustainability engagement programmes.
One of the highlights of the event was a panel session discussing how we can spark interest in sustainability issues. We heard from Simon Jakeman, the Green Impact Lead at London Fire Brigade about his journey from fighting fires, to fighting climate change, and how he's empowering others within the Brigade to get on board through Green Impact.
The event also included of a number of workshops showcasing examples of innovation from universities, colleges, students' unions, and off campus organisations across the UK and beyond. If you weren't able to attend the event, you can check out the presentations here.
